What's in my Shower?

I know, I know... you all are dying to know what I have in my shower lol! Totally kidding, but looked at my shower shelves earlier this week and realized that some of these products are the same ones I have been using for years-even way back to my high school days!
I may need to venture out of my regular shower products, like I do for skincare and even trendy clothes, but for now, I want to share some of my favorite products that will continue to take up shelf space for years to come because they are just too good to switch out!
First, is this body wash. I have been using it for as long as I can remember. It leaves my skin feeling soft and doesn't have any strong fragrances/perfumes which from a medical standpoint is important in keeping your pH balance intact. I do switch out my exfoliators which I use once a week with a washcloth before reapplying self tanner. I'm currently using this one and it smells so good!
After exfoliating, it's time to get rid of all the unwanted hair haha! I use my epilator on my lower legs and underarms. I talk about my epilating/waxing/shaving routine in THIS post. I have been using an epilator since high school and once you get the hang of it and you keep it up, it's AMAZING! I love this one because you can use it wet or dry; it's less painful when I epilate under running water. I only have to "shave/epilate" once a week and even when my hair does grow it's thin enough that you can totally get away without any touch up before putting on shorts/dresses. I have very thick/coarse hair, so it's made such a difference especially in my underarms which I have been doing for almost ten years. I will say, just like a wax usually a shave or two will kind of throw you off the wagon bringing you back to the initial epilating which is the most painful just like a wax. If I keep up with it weekly, it's essentially painless, especially compared to that first time. Anyways, you can read more about all this in THIS post

After epilating my legs, I'll shave them with my Billie razor to get my upper legs and anything I missed with the epilator on my lower legs (I don't epilate my upper legs because my hair is so thin/fine there it's not worth epilating/waxing). Speaking of the Billie razor... is it worth the hype? It depends on what you're looking for... I always used my husbands razors which one, he didn't like very much for obvious reasons and they ended up being more expensive because he would buy more packs since we were sharing even though I didn't use more than one blade for several weeks. Anyways, I was curious about the Billie razor hype, so I tried it and have been using it for about a year. I felt like I got a great shave like I got with my husbands razors. Initially, I thought the razor head had too much product on it making for a very gooey shave. This was just for the first 1-2 shaves. It is a subscription so it's so nice having it come to my doorstep. Since I don't shave as often I have mine delivered I believe every 2 or 3 months and I don't even change it when it comes in because I feel like I can go a good bit longer. It is VERY sharp and cut myself a few times which I never did with men's razors, so I did have to shave a little bit slower than I was used to. It does give a really close shave, but I still needed to shave every day to have super smooth legs. I did feel like I had less of a "5 o'clock shadow" most days than I did with my old men's razor, so for those reasons, to me it's worth it and feel like from effectiveness, convenience, and price standpoints I don't need to look for anything better. Ok! Moving on to hair!
I have ventured out many times when it comes to shampoos, but I keep coming back to this one. It's a little pricey, but I feel like it makes my hair feel so soft and hydrated and also don't need to use as many pumps to get a good lather like I do with other shampoos I've tried. It's color safe, smells good, and free from dyes, sulfates, parabens, phthalate and lots more you can see on the website description. It's also safe for color treated hair which I need. I've used the conditioner version as well and love it, but don't use conditioner much anymore since I use a leave in conditioner every time I wash my hair and a hair mask every 2-3 washes. I've used this one which apparently helps with breakage. I still use it, but I didn't notice a miraculous fix. My hair still breaks. I do LOVE this one though. There is so much product in the tub, so it's definitely worth the price tag, but it leaves my hair so soft and helps smooth it out. You can use it from your roots down, but sometimes I just do it on my  bottom half. If you do your roots, just rinse really well so it doesn't leave your hair greasy.
Speaking of masks, I love face masks, but not so much the mess they make so I do them in the shower! Groundbreaking, right? Haha! But, it does get rid of having to be careful not to get it on you hair/clothes. This detoxifying charcoal mask is probably my favorite at the moment. It gives this cooling sensation and makes my skin feel so soft and clean. A little bit goes a long way so it lasts forever. I also rotate through this set (you can also buy them cheaper here). They have so many different face masks and all feel so good. I keep the jelly ones in the fridge and really love this one. My skin is instantly brightens every time I use it.

Hope you all enjoyed this post! I'd love to hear your favorite shower products in the comments below!
